TELEPHONE
Telephone is
an instrument that sends and receives voice messages, usually by means of
electric current. It is One of our most valuable means if communication. In
just a few seconds, you can telephone a person across the street, in another
part of the country, or on another continent.
In its most
basic form, a telephone enables people to talk with one another at distances
beyond the range of the human voice. More sophisticated telephones can send and
receive not only voice messages, but also written words, drawings, photographs,
and even video images. In addition, telephone can send information from one
computer to another.
Telephones in
people’s homes are connected through a vast, complex telephone network. The
network includes large computers, tremendous lengths of copper wire and hair –
thin strands of glass, cables buried in the ground and laid along the bottom of
the ocean, radio transmitters and receivers, and artificial satellites orbiting
far above the earth.
Alexander
Graham Bell patented the telephone in 1876. Today, hundreds of million of
telephones serve people all over the world.

BANANA
Bananas are
found in tropical region of the world where the climate provides plentiful
rain and many hours of sunshine for most of year. This enables bananas to be
grown and picked all year round.Bananas plants grow from a small root to a
height of about three meters. They produce suckers, one of which is allowed to
grow to its full size and bear the fruit. These fruit start growing downwards
before they grow towards the sun in large bunches. A fully grown bunch can
weigh up to fifty – five kilos, the bananas at the bottom being smaller than
those nearer the top.
Bananas are
very easily damaged and consequently great care must be taken when they are
harvested. They are pick by hand before they are fully ripe as they continue to
ripen after harvesting.
Bananas are
easily peeled and digested, and contain important trace minerals as well as the
benefits of fresh fruit. They provide quick, convenient yet healthy energy
boost and are consequently popular with athletes and tennis players.
In fact,
bananas are our favorite fruit – we eat more of then each year than any other
fruit.
